The Parsonage House Policies

Please treat our house with the same respect as you would your own home. We’ve put a lot of effort into making this into a lovely space to be enjoyed by our guests. Be sure to maintain a good level of cleanliness throughout your stay, this will make it much easier when check-out time comes! Never leave children unsupervised at our property without any adults. Guests are fully responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times, as well as any disturbance caused to other residents in the neighborhood. Any additional overnight Visitors must be approved in advance and are subject to an additional fee as noted in our rates. Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited at our home. Any small gathering must comply with our other house rules regarding noise, the neighborhood and visitor numbers. Any time guests leave the vacation rental, it is their responsibility to ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage. Quiet Time is 9:00 pm – 7:00 am Please place all used towels in the basket by the washer in the kitchen. Please respect the Private and caretakers area. Garbage: Do not leave food or garbage outside unsecure - we have variety of wildlife that includes Bears. Please dispose of garbage and recycling in the proper containers. You can leave garbage and recycling outside for collection on Monday evenings. Do Not Flush anything down the toilets, besides toilet paper provided. Liability: Guests are liable for, but not limited to, all damages, expenses, and losses including theft, property loss, and long-distance telephone charges caused or incurred by any person attending, participating, or providing goods or services in connection with the Guest’s use of the premises. The Parsonage House contains furnishings, and the Guest is responsible for the professional cleaning or restoration when condition of furnishings or house is not considered usual or customary by the House Directors. Guest’s responsibility includes the proper use of yard. Failure of guests to vacate the premises as specified will result in billing to the Guest for the complete stay. The Guest agrees to use the premises and facilities in a careful, safe, and proper manner and to hold the congregation of Evangelical Fellowship Church and EFC volunteers harmless from any and all claims for malady or injury to persons or damage to property arising out of such company. EFC and church volunteers are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Furniture / Equipment: Moving furniture and/or equipment is strictly prohibited. No materials may be attached to walls, fixtures, or furnishings. Pictures may not be removed. All delivery and pick-up arrangements of any equipment must be scheduled through the EFC office during business hours. The optimum temperature for the thermostat is between 75-80°F in summer (for air conditioning) and 68-72°F in winter (for heating). Please make sure you switch off lights, fans, or any other small electrical appliances when you go out. The same applies to air-con and heating, we’re an eco-friendly home! ALCOHOL / SMOKING / ILLEGAL DRUGS / GAMBLING: Alcoholic beverages, smoking paraphilia, illegal drugs, and gambling are prohibited on all EFC properties. Violation of this will result in expulsion from the premises without a refund of the security deposit. House Pets / Animals: Pets are NOT allowed on EFC property Maintenance Issues: During your stay, promptly report any maintenance problems to the House Director / Caretaker. Please do not leave doors or windows open while the A/C and heat are operating. In the unlikely case of a power outage, please call us before touching the control panel. House Directors / Caretakers may enter the premises to respond to any maintenance and/or housekeeping issue during your stay. Personal Property: EFC directors and volunteers are not responsible for the security of your personal property including but not limited to acts of theft, vandalism, or other damages to any personal property or for personal items left by guest in the accommodation at departure or during your stay. Kitchen: Washer / Dryer - Please review and follow instructions before using, only use the during daytime hours between 9 am and 7 pm. This will help reduce disruption to neighboring properties to a minimum. Please do not overload or underload the washer/dryer. Be sure to separate colors and whites, and wash on a low temperature (90°F) where possible. Please be sure to ventilate the kitchen after cooking anything that could leave a strong smell behind. Be careful not to wash food that remains down the drain. To help the environment, please only switch on the dishwasher when it’s full and use the eco-program where possible. To simplify the inventory process, please return any kitchen items back to where you originally found them. Kitchen cleaning products are under the sink. If any products run out during your stay, please let us know so we can replace them for the next guests. Outside: Grilling - Please use the designated barbecue utensils and not the regular kitchen tongs. Be sure to clean the barbecue after use, it’s much more difficult to clean the next day! The backyard is a perfect, safe place for children to play. To avoid danger, please don’t let them play out front. Please do not use glasses outside or in the children’s play area for safety reasons. Please don’t take any kitchen dishes and cutlery outside to avoid misplacing or losing it. Neighbor Policy: We respectfully request that guests remember that they are staying in a church owned home during their vacation. Please treat it with care and leave it in good condition at check-out. Please observe all property rules and regulations. Parking: Parking in the driveway is reserved for the guest groups and families. House Directors / Caretakers and church patrons may also use The Parsonage House parking lot when necessary. Please check with the on-duty house director at time of check-in for the appropriate parking procedures. Boats, Boat Trailers, Recreational Vehicles, etc. are restricted to parking in designated areas. Outdoor activities must be quite after 9:00 p.m. The Parsonage House Directors serve as the agent/manager for the owner of church property and has the authority to evict guests who do not adhere to the management and property rules and regulations.
